name: TheDogzLife
technique used: 2-D Animation (frame by frame)
reason chosen: I chose this animation because it's completely hand drawn digitally, so each frame has little to no digital editing in it. This animator is a really big inspiration of mine with how the fluidity of the movement comes through and how powerful the emotions are shown.

name: Hayao Miyazaki
technique used: 2-D Animation (frame by frame)
reason chosen: I chose this animation because it's incredibly nostalgic for me and I love how it's crafted. 2-D animation is incredible to me because of the painstaking effort involved, and in all honesty I love every animation, but 2-D frame-by-frame has to be my favorite kind. This piece manages to mix all the elements and principles of animation well with great settings, colors, and moods.

name: Avafaidian
technique used: 2-D Animation (frame by frame)
reason chosen: I chose this animation because of the character design -- seriously, look at it! The style is unique, sweet, and whimsical, and it fits the words of the characters really well, and the theme of them. The audio is from a dungeons and dragons podcast that's really meant to be lighthearted and fun, and it really comes across in this piece.

name: Maddy Hicks, Emerson Zandegu
technique used: 2-D Animation (frame by frame) and 3-D animation (the dice)
reason chosen: I chose this animation because I love how the music works with the animation, and I can't express in simple words how much I love this piece! The colors, composition, lighting, animation -- literally all of it. It's one of my favorite animations to watch and I often come back to it frequently. It really inspires me to do my own work, and honestly it's the kind of animation I aspire to create. It blows my mind how much effort went into this piece and how much fluidity and creativity was poured into it.
